What is an LTR Regular? To book onto our 'Regulars' you must be capable of running at a steady pace on tricky terrain for 2 hours or more. Unless you are a confident and frequent trail runner we please ask you to try our most accommodating 'Intro' run or one of our 'Tasters' first - we can then advise whether stepping up to one of our Regulars would be appropriate for you.
What is an LTR Taster? LTR Tasters are our intermediate guided group runs. Unfortunately our 'Tasters' are not aimed at everyone who'd like to run on the trails. Unlike our 'Intro' runs, our 'Tasters' are quite challenging as we aim to make them an insight into our longer 'Regular' runs. If you're not actually comfortable running at a steady pace over tricky terrain you may well struggle on a Taster and unintentionally affect other runners' experiences. Unless you are a relatively confident and frequent runner we strongly advise trying our 'Intro' run first - we can then advise whether you'd be more suited to stepping up to one of our 'Tasters' or 'Regulars'.
What's the route for LTR82? The route will head out from Scorton and into Ghyll Wood then head up pass the tarn towards Nicky Nook, into Holme Wood, over Fell End and onto Harrisend Fell. It will then pass along Foxhouses Brook, down through Salisbury Farm and will pick up the Wyre Way which will take us past Wyre Lake and on towards the Cleveley Fisheries before we pass Scorton Lake on the way back into Scorton.
What's the route for the Taster? The route will head out from Scorton over Park Brook, pass Scorton Lake and Cleveley Fisheries, along the Wyre Way and Wyre Lake. The route will then head back towards Wyresdale Park before venturing into the woods featuring Tithe Barn Brook.
