It was a mild, cloudy and very windy December morning for this week's LTR63 from Darwen. The route was challenging with lots of varied and rough terrain and several hills to contend with. The runners headed out from Darwen through Whitehall before visiting Cadshaw and following the Witton Weaver's Way over Darwen Moor, dropping back to Higher Whitehall and finally heading up to the summit of Darwen Hill and Jubilee Tower. There were some bracing winds up on the balcony of the Tower, but unfortunately the low clouds meant visibility wasn't what it could have been. Even so all the runners enjoyed the intricate route and some were left wanting more as we returned to Darwen. #LoveTrailRunning
