At 8am on a gloomy Saturday morning today's group of 20 set off on our 16km trail run from Booths in Garstang. Pleasingly the predicted awful weather never materialized until the latter stages, we had some drizzle to start but luckily it wasn't too cold. The 1st half of our route was the toughest as it was slightly uphill. The recent rain fall made traction in the fields difficult, thus making it feel harder than it should! Spirits remained high throughout though and once up at #GrizedaleLea & #Barnacre reservoirs the undulations changed and gravity helped us head back down to Garstang through #HolmeWood brushing past #NickyNook on the way. Breakfast and a hot drink in Booths went down a treat for those who didn't have to shoot off. Another rewarding couple of hours on trails and many stated they're already looking forward to LTR66 Sabden in 2 weeks.
