Another grey and at times drizzly, Autumnal morning for LTR82 Scorton, but again the enthusiasm of those who joined us this Saturday shone through. Runners were guided on some great trails through Wyresdale Park and up the ascent of Nicky Nook which offered views over the Fylde Coast and towards Cockerham Sands, despite the damp and grey weather. The route then passed Grizedale Reservoir and over the border of Harrisend Fell. After a welcome drinks stop the majority of the second half was downhill taking in some very wet and muddy trails along the banks of the River Wyre and beside Cleveleymere and Scorton Lake before returning to Scorton where many of the group stayed for an enjoyable breakfast at the fantastic Barn At Scorton. A few of today's runners are excited to be heading to the North Lakes next weekend for our Keswick Trail Marathon. #ProperDayOut
