Those who joined us in #Waddington for LTR84 were greeted with a bright and clear Saturday morning. The energetic group set out from the Country Kitchen Cafe and took in some very muddy sections towards West Bradford and Grindleton, gradually heading uphill and passing alongside West Clough Brook. The waterlogged, muddy fields made the going tough at times but after ascending the edge of Simpshey Hill there were fantastic views of the Ribble Valley and the striking Pendle Hill. After a quick drink-stop the upbeat conversation was flowing again as runners enjoyed some downhill sections taking in some tricky but beautiful wooded sections through Drakehouse Brook, before dropping back down to Waddington. The runners who were able to stay after the 16km route enjoyed some well-earned recovery food and drink in the fabulous Country Kitchen. Our next Regular outing is on Saturday 18th November in Fulwood.
