Today's group set out on LTR67 from Rising Bridge looking forward to a challenging, undulating 17km LTR around the Haslingden and Rawtenstall area. As forecast we were faced with a gloomy start but that didn't hamper the enthusiasm to hit the trails. The route passed Rossendale Ski slope before passing through Rawtenstall, touching on Swinshaw Moor before crossing the valley through Crawshawbooth and returning round Cribden Hill and Cribden Side. Poor visibility made navigation and enjoyment of the area difficult at times but with less to look at there was a buzz of upbeat conversation amongst the group throughout. A great couple of hours on the trails was had by all and many went for a social coffee and bite to eat afterwards at the lovely, traditional Dearden Tea Rooms in Haslingden.
