LTR74 set out from the Keswick Hotel through Fitz Park alongside the river on a damp and breezy afternoon. During the course of the run the changeable weather gave the group, sun, cloud, wind and torrential rain, but as the temperature wasn't cold it was quite invigorating. The tough route had plenty of climbing as the runners made their way up through some fantastic woodland paths and trails before emerging onto the fell side and reaching the summit of Latrigg Fell. The fell offered brilliant views over Keswick, Derwent Water, Catbells and the Borrowdale Valley beyond with some striking stormy weather giving a very atmospheric feeling. Some open ground and some more technical forest trails brought the group back to Keswick and through Fitz Park before arriving back at The Keswick Hotel. The runners again enjoyed the friendly, social atmosphere that is synonymous with LTR, and one first time runner described it as 'my happy place' which was wonderful to hear.
