At LTR Taster Foulridge we welcomed several new runners as well as plenty of familiar faces. It was a warm, sunny Sunday morning and the group enjoyed the intricate route we had planned. The social run headed out from Cafe Cargo by the Leeds-Liverpool canal and took runners around Foulridge Lower Reservoir, over Colne Edge and past Alkincoats Nature Reserve. The group was then guided along a section of the disused railway and on towards Slipper Hill reservoir, after a welcome drink stop. Passing the idyllic hamlet of Hey Fold and Foulridge Hall the route finished with a short stint along the canal back to the meeting point. Feedback from runners both new and old was very positive and most enjoyed a post-run drink and bite to eat at the fantastic Cafe Cargo. It was great to see some runners who had stepped up from our Intro run, as well as some discussing plans to move from the Taster to our longer Regular run.
