Todays guided trail run was the LTR Chipping Christmas Cracker Half Marathon which was a cracking, but very wet and muddy 21km of fun on the trails. The weather wasnt quite what we'd hoped for but everyone did brilliantly to complete the route in cold, miserable conditions. Runners were guided on a varied mix of trails passing the old Roman road and Bashall Eaves with one highlight being the stepping stones over the river Hodder by the Inn at Whitewell, where two of today's runners actually had their wedding. Many of the group warmed up post-run with a hot drink and something to eat in the cosy Cobbled Corner Cafe which was very well deserved!
