What is an LTR Intro? LTR Intros are guided group trail runs aimed at novices - those who are looking to start trail running or improve their confidence and basic skills on the trails. Unlike our slightly longer and more challenging 'Taster' runs, our Intros are a mix of WALKING, JOGGING and RUNNING with multiple stops along the way, all in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It's very important that everyone who books onto an Intro is 100% comfortable with going NO FASTER THAN THE PACE OF THE GUIDE and waiting to re-group on numerous occasions.
What's the route? Heading out from the beuatiful village of Downham this new route will pass Longlands Wood with the ominous Little Pendle in the distance but our route ventures left towards Radbrook with views of the even more impressive Big Pendle Hill. We'll then head out towards Score Clough Beck over Twiston Lane, through Torrid Bank Wood, past Hey House Wood, before we head uptowards Hall Royds Wood and back past the famous Assheton Arms. As with all great trail runs the route is rolling/undualting but that doesn't mean we'll be charging up them. Though this might sound daunting, we have lots of experience of guiding people who are new to trails and are confident everyone who joins us will be able to complete the route.
