The Love Trail Running team pride ourselves on being friendly, reliable, trustworthy, helpful and informative. We aim to inspire - through personal experience #onthetrails or through quirky, entertaining blogs. We appreciate all types of feedback from each and every runner, which helps us to develop the standard of our service.  We have a wealth of experience in managing a variety of trail running groups. Going forward our aim is to encourage more runners to get out and enjoy the freedom non-competitive, guided trail running provides.

I've been a passionate trail runner for many years. After being inspired by the incredible London Olympics, I decided to utilise the time I’d spent building up a network of awesome trail runs. In September 2012 I launched Love Trail Running.

Since then, I have enjoyed guiding an eclectic group of people on many unique routes. I’m keen to promote the benefits of social, guided trail running and constantly strive to improve the overall experience of an ‘LTR’.

Outside of LTR, I’m a triathlon coach. Any free time I have is spent out and about on the trails, planning exciting new routes.

I started trail running as part of my training for triathlon and soon fell in love with the total freedom it gives. I absolutely love the role of guiding people, allowing them to enjoy trail running in so many new and exciting places as well as keeping fit and healthy.

As a woman I appreciate how comfortable it can feel to run in a group, especially out 'in the middle of nowhere'. If you are new to trail running our runs are a great way to meet new like-minded people, so don't keep putting it off, come and have some fun with us on the trails!

Following an ‘injury ravaged’ career as a Professional Footballer in my late teens and early twenties, I initially took up running as a means of keeping fit but soon got the running ‘bug’ after discovering Trail Running. Over the past couple of years I have competed in various Trail races over a variety of distances from 10k up to Ultra Marathon whilst at the same time spending most weekends enjoying the social, scenic runs in the ‘Regular’ group with LTR.

I am now lucky enough to be part of the LTR team guiding the fantastic people we meet and helping to ensure they feel welcome and enjoy the runs just as much as I do!

Back when I came on my first LTR event, I had no idea how it would change my life. I’d been running for years, firstly on roads and then on trails in the Peak District, but a move back to Lancashire had left me unsure where to run and I lacked the confidence to explore.

That first run with LTR was a revelation. I loved being guided, being in nature, the muddy puddles and the sense of discovery. Most of all I loved the friendly, social atmosphere.

It was, as they say, right up my street. I work as a life coach and meeting new people, getting to know them and helping them to step out of their comfort zone makes me happy. LTR makes me happy too. It’s pushed me out of my comfort zone, and although that can be challenging, it’s always brilliant fun.
